The Political Action Committee of the Minnesota chapter of the National Organization for Women (MN NOW PAC) proudly endorses an outstanding feminist candidate for Minnesota State Senate, Farheen Hakeem.
“Farheen Hakeem embodies Minnesota NOW’s values and mission,” said Minnesota NOW President Shannon Drury. “She has consistently fought for all of Minnesota NOW’s core issues: reproductive rights, constitutional equality, LGBT rights, eliminating racism, freedom from violence, and economic justice.”
As a state senator she will champion passage of universal single-payer health care, legal recognition of marriage for same-sex couples, protecting the rights of undocumented workers, and ensuring that our state’s wealthiest citizens pay their fair share of taxes.
Minnesota NOW calls on all voters living in the 61st senate district who support equality and justice to vote for Farheen Hakeem in the special election on Tuesday, October 18, 2011.
