Minnesota residents who join NOW are automatically members of National and Minnesota NOW. One can be an “at-large” member of Minnesota NOW without being a member of a local chapter. You may also choose to join a local chapter at any time at no additional cost.
Once NOW takes a position on an issue, much of the action takes place at the local chapter level. Minnesota NOW encourages joining a local chapter to increase involvement and interaction of its members.
Local chapters are active throughout the state. Current chapters include:
- Fergus Falls Area NOW
- Minnesota Valley NOW (south metro area, Prior Lake, Shakopee)
- MSP NOW (metro area chapter)
- Sherburne-Wright NOW (2 counties NW of the Twin Cities)
- South Central MN NOW (Mankato area).
Although we have active members in the Duluth and Rochester areas, there are currently no formal chapters.
MSP NOW also launched a podcast in 2020, Renegade Feminist, which dives into Minnesota politics – with a feminist lean. The podcast focuses on making local politics accessible, connecting with female and non-binary folks putting in the work, and laughing along the way.
