Forgive us, Minnesota NOW fans! While we update the MN NOW Facebook page regularly, we have sorely neglected this blog. We”ll do our best to keep it updated in the future, especially with so many new events on our horizon, including…
The 2012 Minnesota NOW State Conference and Prairie States NOW Regional Conference, held on Saturday April 4 at the Oak Ridge Conference Center in Chaska! We hosted our 2011 conference at this location and has such a terrific time that we knew it would be perfect for hosting our friends from across the region. Prairie States NOW includes Minnesota, Iowa, the Dakotas, and Missouri, and regional conferences are held biennially. Elections for representatives to the National NOW Board of Directors will be held. Our region may elect up to three directors, with at least one a person of color.
The schedule for the day is still being worked out, but we are organizing around the issue of marriage equality, with representatives from Minnesotans United for All Families joining us, as well as a very special guest. If you keep an eye on our Facebook page (HINT HINT!) you’ll find out which activist, author, and documentary star will be speaking with us about her long and fascinating life in equality activism.
