In this interactive workshop, you will learn about the gender wage gap, access tools to help you benchmark your salary and benefits, and practice negotiations for a fair salary. Some pre-work will be requested to help us make the best use of our time together.
The workshop will be taught by Peg Lonnquist, Ph.D., Executive Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Peg was the Director of the Women’s Center at the University of Minnesota for 10 years. She has presented over 400 courses and workshops in the U.S. and internationally, including topics such as women and leadership, how to be outrageous, positive geniuses make happy work, and speaking up for equity. Her background includes over 35 years in the fields of education, leadership and social justice, including being program director for the International Girl Guides and Girls Scouts (in Cuernavaca, Mexico), assistant director of the U of MN YWCA, graduate assistant for the International Women’s Rights Action Watch Project, director of Woodswomen Adventure Travel for Women, and a professor of graduate education at Hamline University. She has won several awards for her teaching and activism including NWSA’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Workshop will be held in Meeting Room AB. Coffee and pastries will be available.
