MeToo and the ACLU: Fighting for Gender Equity in the Workplace

March 29, 2018 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join ACLU Minnesota for a discussion on what the future of the#MeToo movement looks like and how that will play out in our legislature and our courts. Gillian Thomas, the senior staff attorney of the ACLU Women’s Rights Project, will discuss where we go moving forward in the continued fight for gender equity in the workplace. Gillian will be joined by State Rep. Erin Maye Quade who came forward earlier this year with her own experiences of harassment at the Capitol and has been championing for change.

Tickets are $15 and include entry and drink ticket for one. Light appetizers will be provided, food available for purchase on-site. Gillian will be available for book signing. Limited copies will be available at the door, or you can purchase Gillian’s book “Because of Sex: One Law, Ten Cases, and Fifty Years That Changed American Women’s Lives at Work” on the ACLU website.
