Dear Minnesota Candidate:

Thank you for your interest in screening for endorsement of your candidacy by the Minnesota NOW PAC.  In order to be considered for endorsement, please print and complete the PAC Candidate Questionnaire and return it as soon as possible.  You may mail or fax it to us.  If you have other information that you believe may be pertinent, please include it as well.  Please feel free to review the available candidate briefings (Position Papers). You may check the MN NOW Calendar for the next scheduled PAC meeting.

The Minnesota NOW PAC does not do "in-person" interviews.  We base our decision about endorsement on your answers to the questionnaire (plus voting record, for incumbents).  While it is a somewhat lengthy questionnaire, NOW is a broad-based, multi-issue feminist organization.  Thus, the questions we ask reflect that multitude of issues, and your rating will be based on these issues.

Our rating is independent of your opponent’s positions.  We may endorse or support more than one candidate in a race, or we may decide not to endorse or support any candidates in a race.  We will communicate our ratings to our members.  See our endorsement criteria below.

After we determine your rating, we will consider financial support for your candidacy.   We base our decision on the candidate’s rating, the opponent(s), our resources, the candidate’s resources, and the candidate’s viability.   Please contact MN NOW if you have questions about the endorsement procedure.  You may also review the on-line PAC Endorsement Guidelines.
